I got to meet my Grandpa and Lisa on September 12 for the first time.
Grandpa was really carried away by my fingers and toes. Grandpa and his girls.

I was married to your Grandmother for many years. She was a perfect Mother! She was a very good wife to me. We had two beautiful daughters: Christine and your Aunt Julie Kathryn. I loved you with all my heart from the day your Mother told me you were a girl and definitely named Sierra Kathryn. No matter how long either of us (you or me) may live I am completely blessed with you as a granddaughter. You have a strong family background on both sides. The Atwood side is listed in the first book of the Daughters of the American Revolution and my father, Loren, served honorably in both World Wars. Your mother has pictures of him as a young boy serving with the American Expeditionary Force in France with covered wagons. His grandparents are listed as pioneers and among the first four residents of Richardson County Nebraska, where he was born. Your Grandfather Loren, had a brother Forrest and a sister Margaret. When I was little I could not pronounce Margaret and I called her Marno until her death. She was the bravest of ladies and was a true American Patriot as her blood line should produce. Loren (my dad) died when I was 3 and I was raised by my precious mother Wilma Kathryn Brannon (Atwood). She is buried in Yreka, Siskiyou County California. Loren is buried at the large Atwood family cemetery: Mound Cemetery just outside Humboldt Nebraska.
